Japan welcomes Sheikh Jaber''s visit

Japanese Defense Minister Toshimi Kitazawa welcomed Tuesday the upcoming visit to Tokyo by Kuwait's First Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah slated for early November, where he will meet Emperor Akihito. Kitazawa's remarks came during his meeting with Kuwaiti Ambassador to Japan Abdulrahman Al-Otaibi earlier in the day. Kitazawa expressed gratitude to Kuwait for its support to the Japanese troops' reconstruction aid mission in Iraq, which had based in Kuwait.
Al-Otaibi showed his appreciation for this kind gesture which will be positive impact on the development of relations between the two countries at all levels, recalling the role of Japan's historic support of Kuwait and hopes to promote closer ties of friendship between Kuwait and Japan. Tuesday's meeting was accompanied by Kuwait's Third Secretary Faraj Al-Hajeri.
