H.E. Ambassador to hold talks with House of Representatives member Mr. Naoto Sakagucuhi, at House of Representatives Office

H.E. Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to Japan, Abdul-Rahman Al-Otaibi, held a meeting with H.E. Mr. Naoto Sakaguchi, Member of House of Representatives, on April 8, 2010 at Mr. Sakaguchi’s office at House of Representatives Building.

As this was the first time for both parties to hold talks, both were greatly honored to meet and discuss bilateral relations from the standpoint of the need of active bilateral Parliamentarian interaction, to promote further cooperation and investment between the two countries. Mr. Sakaguchi, from his previous career in working in post-conflict countries, strongly stated that Japan should play more advanced role such as acting as intermediator of peace among the international community. To this, H.E. Ambassador completely agreed, adding that Japan should move forward to acquire position in world affairs and especially in the Gulf region, to contribute to peace in world affairs. Further topics regarding Japan’s contribution to world economy and technology, the domestic political situation in Japan, and issue of controlling information today, were discussed. After fruitful exchange of opinions and views, both parties concluded their talks and promised to arrange another meeting for further discussions.
