H.E. Ambassador Al-Otaibi hosts a dinner in honor of H.E. Sheikh Ahmad, the President of OCA

Kuwaiti Ambassador to Japan Abdulrahman Al-Otaibi hosted a welcome reception in honor of H.E. Sheikh Ahmad Fahad Al-Sabah, the President of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA), H.E. Sheikh Isa Al-Khalifa, Vice President of West Asia of OCA, H.E. Sheikh Talal Fahad Al-Sabah, Rule Committee Chairman of OCA, and the council members as well as the accompanied delegation members. Addressing attendees at the dinner, H.E. Mr. Al-Otaibi delivered the opening speech by expressing his sincere congratulation to the Japanese Olympic Committee (JOC) and Japan Sports Association (JASA) for the 100th Anniversary of Establishment and also his appreciation to organize the official visit of H.E. Sheikh Ahmad to Japan this time of the year. H.E. Mr. Al-Otaibi emphasized the fact that this visit and occasion is a significant gesture to show the supports towards Japanese friends after the March 11 Earthquake and Tsunami, which hit Japan drastically. H.E. Sheikh Ahmad, as the head of the OCA, has made great efforts and paid considerable respect to all kinds of sports and different levels, regionally and internationally. In his long and successful career history on this field. H.E. Sheikh Ahmad has learned great spirits and precious wisdoms from the school of the late martyrs Sheikh Fahad Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, God’s has mercy on him, who put Asian Sports in the legitimate position in the world. ‘I am so sure that H.E. Sheikh Ahmed has carried the responsibilities from his father and also achieved the Asian Sports inspiration at the world level’, H.E. Mr. Al-Otaibi said. H.E. Mr. Tsunekazu Takeda, the President of the JOC proposed a toast and congratulated for the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic relations between Japan and Kuwait. H.E. Sheikh Ahmad has visited Japan several times before and this time of visit came in light with the celebration of 50th anniversary. The dinner reception was attended by Arab Ambassadors and Chargé d’affaires of the Arab Missions in Japan, Mr. Kenshiro Matsunami (President of Nihon Taiikukai), Mr. Ryosho Tanigama (President of Nippon Sport and Science University), Mr. Waleed Al-Abdulijalil (Head of office, Kuwait Petroleum Corporation) and honorable guests.
