Art Work from Iwate Contributed to H.E. Ambassador of Kuwait to Japan

On Monday, H. E. Mr. Abdul-Rahman Al-Otaibi, Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to Japan received Mr. Takaaki Sato, President of Art World International and his assistant at his office.
In order to commemorate the three occasions, the State Visit of His Highness Sheikh Sabah the Amir of the State of Kuwait last March, an anniversary of aid donation of crude oil for the disaster-struck areas in Tohoku Region after March 11 2011, and Golden Jubilee of Independence of the State of Kuwait last year, Mr. Sato delivered contribution of a painting by a lady artist, Ms. Rikue Ishikawa from Iwate Prefecture. The painting is a full bloom of Sakura, with real petals of Sakura pressed onto the paining. Mr. Sato delivered the message from the painter. “Last year, we experienced the disasters of the East Japan Great Earthquake, and so on which brought the loss of homelands where we were born and raised. As a human, we treasure our homelands throughout our lives but we cannot compete against the forces of the nature. As a token of gratitude, I would like to contribute this painting of Sakura, flower of friendship, representing Japan.” H.E. expressed his gratitude for the contribution, saying that Kuwait received the painting as a token of the efforts for the past 50 years, the State Visit of H.H. Sheikh Sabah the Amir, and the support for the disaster recovery since last year. H. E. added that the people of Kuwait will never forget the support from Japan during the hardship of Kuwait.
