H.E. Mr. Al-Otaibi, Ambassador of Kuwait to Japan Paid a Courtesy Call to H.E. Mr. Fukuda, Governor of Tochigi Prefecture

H.E. Mr. Abdul-Rahman Al-Otaibi, Ambassador of Kuwait to Japan visited Utsunomiya, the capital city of Tochigi Prefecture, and paid a courtesy call to H.E. Tomikazu Fukuda, Governor of Tochigi Prefecture at his office. H.E. Mr. Al-Otaibi was given a briefing on developments in the effort to reverse the damage caused by the rumors upon the Fukushima nuclear reactor disaster. A proposal by the ambassador of twinning a Kuwaiti and Japanese city was warmly welcomed. The Governor noted that some companies in the prefecture including a famous sushi restaurant management company already have branches in Kuwait so that this venue of cooperation and investment should be expanded.
Meanwhile, the Governor highly appreciated the donations made by Kuwait for reconstruction of the disaster-struck areas by the Great East Japan Earthquake, and stressed importance of cooperation in the area of disaster response and readiness.
