Mr. Hamad Al-Mulla, Charge d’Affaires attended the Japan-Kuwait Parliamentary Friendship League and Study Session 2014 (2/5/2014)

The General Assembly of the Japan-Kuwait Parliamentary Friendship League and Study Session was held at the House of Representatives Members’ office building on February 5, 2014. Mr. Hamad Al-Mulla, Charge d’Affaires ad interim at the Embassy of the State of Kuwait has participated in the League and the Study Session with about 20 members of the Parliament and the officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the House of Representatives.

H. E. Mr. Takao Fujii, Deputy Chairperson of the League introduced Ms. Yuriko Koike as a new Chairperson of the League 2014 and delivered an opening address, which mentioned the upcoming official visit to Japan by Kuwaiti members of the League in this March. Following the message, Mr. Hamad Al-Mulla delivered a speech and expressed appreciation for the invitation extended from Japan and confirmed strengthening bilateral cooperation and partnership between the two countries.

At the Study Session, Mr. Hiroshi Oka, Deputy Director-General, Middle Eastern African Affairs Bureau of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs delivered a lecture in regard to the current situation in Kuwait. The lecture was crucial in informing the most updated information especially for the Japanese participants, who would be receiving the Parliamentary members from Kuwait next month.

This General Assembly brought a wonderful opportunity to re-confirm the members of the League and accumulated the knowledge of the State of Kuwait in order to prepare the visit of the upcoming delegation of the League, as well as continue to have active and friendly interaction between both countries’ Parliamentary Friendship Leagues.
