Embassy of the State of Kuwait welcomed Tokyo Metropolitan Ryogoku Junior High School students
The Embassy received Tokyo Metropolitan Ryogoku Junior High School students as a part of their school’s educational program aimed at deepening their international understanding. Students were highly motivated to deepen their understanding of foreign countries, amid the growing importance of multicultural respect and communication.
Mr. Yousef AlTarkit, Second Secretary, welcomed them, and gave them a lecture about lifestyle, culture, and customs in Kuwait. He received many questions from students, such as culture and lifestyle in Kuwait, the impression of Japan, and reasons of a donation for reconstruction following the Great East Japan Earthquake. After the lecture and a QA session, they experienced wearing Kuwaiti traditional costumes and had a look around Kuwaiti traditional reception room ‘Diwaniya’.
