H.E. Mr. Al-Otaibi, Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to Japan Received Aquamarine Fukushima Delegation to Kuwait

H.E. Mr. Abdul Rahman Al-Otaibi, Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to Japan received the Delegation of Aquamarine Fukushima (Marine Science Museum, Fukushima Prefecture) visiting the State of Kuwait upon invitation of Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research (KISR) in his office at the Embassy.
At the meeting with the Ambassador, Mr. Yoshitaka ABE, Managing Director of Aquamarine Fukushima reiterated his gratitude for the donation worth 3 million U.S. dollars from the State of Kuwait delivered in July 2012 and briefed on the ongoing projects funded by the donation.
The Ambassador praised the visit of the delegation to Kuwait City scheduled from November 27 to December 3 as the visit is an essential part of series of activities strengthening ties between Kuwait and Japan, and one of the successful case of recovery from the massive disaster of the March 11 Great Earthquake and tsunami by making use of the funds donated by the State of Kuwait.
Aquamarine Fukushima and KISR concluded a friendship resolution on July 12, 2012 in Iwaki City, Fukushima Prefecture. Then, Dr. Naji Al-Mutairi, Managing Director of KISR extended the invitation to Mr. Yoshitaka ABE, Managing Director, Aquamarine Fukushima and his team to visit Kuwait to discuss the future cooperation between our organizations. During the visit, the delegation will have an opportunity to present their current activities in the area of aquaculture. Furthermore, the both side will review existing projects of interest and also to suggest areas of further cooperation.
The delegation of Aquamarine Fukushima is headed by Mr. Yoshitaka ABE, Managing Director of Aquamarine Fukushima and includes Mr. Katsuji TAINAKA, Ex-KISR Researcher, Dr. Minayori KUMAMOTO, Professor Emeritus, Kyoto University, a staff of Aquamarine Fukushima and a photographer. The courtesy visit to the embassy by the delegation was kindly accompanied by Mr. Ryuei IZUMI, Secretary General, Japan Kuwait Association and others.
